I joined Equipet Veterinary Hospital in December 2002 to work in the boarding cattery. I continued to work there for the next two and a half years, gaining my Animal Nursing Assistants qualification during that time. In September 2005 I sadly left Equipet to begin my Veterinary Nurse Training through a full time course at Edinburgh’s Telford College. I didn’t spend too much time away though as Ruth offered Equipet as my Training Practice which meant that I spent eight weeks or more on placement there throughout the course. I also spent time at Glasgow Vet School with my class where I was involved in a lot of intense nursing, working alongside all the specialised nurses and vets. This was great experience for me at the time. I came back to Equipet permanently in June 2007 when a nursing job arose, and I continued my training within the practice. I have recently sat my final exams. I have a Border Terrier puppy called ‘Floyd’ who takes up most of my spare time, entertaining him with long walks and play time although I enjoy these moments as much as him. I also like going to the cinema, eating out and spending time with my friends and family. |
