I originally qualified from Glasgow University Vet School and my first job

was in a small practice in Dundee dealing mainly with companion animals.

I left here in 1999 and set off to travel around Australia for a year

working as a locum vet in several veterinary practices along the way which

was very interesting.

On returning home I took a job in the Scottish Borders to be nearer my

family for a while.

After staying for 4 years I decided that I would like to return to working

in a practice that dealt with only companion animals and so I applied to

Equipet.

I joined the practice in August 2004 and during my time here I am

developing particular interests in skin disease but also general medicine.

My own cat 'Idgie' is a 14 year old tortoiseshell domestic short hair cat

who has travelled around with me (but not to Australia!) She is not found

of going out unless weather conditions are perfect but loves attention.

Outside of work I like to travel, enjoy cycling going to the gym and also

have developed an interest in gardening.
